Did you know there are around 7,000 non-student employees at BYU? Wellness Advocates are volunteer employees that help promote health and wellness in their departments.
Find out if your department has a Wellness Advocate. If they don't, you might be the perfect person for the job!
There are several fitness facilities on campus that faculty and staff are welcome to use! BYU Student Wellness often offers group fitness classes for all employees and students at those facilities.
You will need to pick up a wristband from RB 112 to participate in the classes or use the facilities. Visit the Student Wellness website to learn more.
It is each employee's responsibility to confirm participation expectations with their supervisor before participating in Employee Wellness offerings. Supervisors retain the right to determine whether their direct reports may participate on the clock or off the clock, or the conditions under which participation may occur.
Employee Wellness encourages supervisors to permit employees to participate in a reasonable number of hours per semester on the clock.
*If an employee were to participate in every single offering, we anticipate they would spend between 2 and 5 hours total each month with our program. This is compared to the expected average of 175 total working hours for a full-time employee each month and 120 total working hours for a 3/4 time employee.
