"Sprummer Strong" Wellness Challenge
For active faculty, admin, and staff
About
This time of year is the perfect opportunity to get outside and get active.
Over the next two months, we invite you to focus on doing just that. The American Heart Association recommends at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or vigorous activity activity each week (about 30 minutes a day, five days a week).
For this challenge, we encourage you to work toward that 150 minutes per week goal. To receive credit through the Living Healthy Program, participants must reach a 75% completion rate. This can be achieved by completing 30 minutes of activity on at least 33 days, or by reaching a total of 980 minutes of movement over the two months.
A tracker sheet is available to help you stay on track and provide ideas for activities. You can choose to track by days or minutes—whichever works best for you.
We hope this challenge encourages you to enjoy this season and spend more time outdoors, appreciating God’s creation and caring for the bodies we’ve been given. Now let’s get strong!
*If you have a qualifying medical insurance plan, you may choose to use this challenge for the Living Healthy Program Challenge #4 this year!
Participants who complete the challenge will be entered into a raffle for Owala Water Bottles and "Get Active Kits".
Remember to submit your completion survey between Thursday, June 4th and Monday, July 6th. No submissions will be accepted after this. We'll be contacting the winner shortly thereafter and announcing it in the following newsletter!
