Golden Ticket
About
The Golden Ticket is a wellness benefit available to BYU Wellness Advocates and their departments. Advocates who attend at least three of the twelve monthly meetings are eligible to submit a Golden Ticket request.
The purpose of the Golden Ticket is to help support departments that may not have a large wellness budget of their own. Through this program, we hope to provide additional opportunities for departments to build connection, support employee wellness, and create meaningful experiences together.
Selected departments may receive funding to support wellness-focused activities, team-building opportunities, shared office items, or other initiatives that promote employee wellness within their department. Advocates are encouraged to work with their departments to brainstorm ideas that would best support their team’s wellness needs. Our office is also happy to help discuss ideas and determine what options may work best for your department.
Before submitting a Golden Ticket request, departments should have a clear idea of the activity or item they would like funding for, along with the estimated cost. Requests that are submitted without a planned idea or budget amount may not be considered for approval.
Applications will be reviewed based on several factors, including the number of employees who will benefit from the request and the overall duration and impact of the experience. We especially encourage ideas that create meaningful or lasting memories within departments. As we strive to be responsible stewards of the available funding, requests will generally be considered around an average of $10 per employee benefiting from the activity or item requested.
Golden Ticket applications are reviewed in approval rounds throughout the year. Please note that not all applications will be selected during each round. Applications that are not selected will automatically roll over to the next approval round later in the year.
