Golden Ticket

About

The Golden Ticket is a wellness benefit available to BYU Wellness Advocates and their departments. Advocates who attend at least three monthly meetings are eligible to submit a request.

The goal of the Golden Ticket is to support departments that may not have a large wellness budget by providing funding for wellness activities, team-building experiences, shared office items, and other opportunities that help employees connect and build community. Departments are encouraged to work together to brainstorm ideas, and our office is happy to help discuss options that may work best for your team.

Because funding is limited, we encourage realistic and thoughtful requests so we can support as many departments as possible throughout the year. Requests will generally be considered around $10 or less per employee benefiting from the activity or item requested.

Golden Ticket applications are reviewed in approval rounds throughout the year. Not all applications will be selected each round, but unselected applications will automatically roll over to the next approval round later in the year.

Selection Criteria:

  • Departments should have a clear idea of the activity or item they would like funding for, along with the estimated cost. Requests submitted without a planned idea or budget amount may not be considered for approval.
  • Attend at least three out of the twelve wellness advocate meetings
  • When reviewing Golden Ticket applications, we will consider:
    • The number of employees who will benefit from the request
    • The overall duration and impact of the experience
    • Opportunities that promote wellness, connection, and team building within the department

Upcoming Approval Rounds:

  • May 29, 2026
  • August 28, 2026
  • November 20, 2026
