International Student Work-Week Guidelines

International students should follow the guidelines for the official BYU Work Week. Students are permitted to work 19 hours and 50 minutes from the beginning of Saturday at 12:00 am (midnight) until Friday at 11:59 pm.

You are NOT allowed to work over 20 hours any other time except for during the specified HOLIDAYS outlined in the BYU CALENDAR.

The workweek starts at 12:00am on Saturday and ends on Friday at 11:59pm.

Do not OVER or UNDER report your hours, it is ILLEGAL and DISHONEST, which is against the BYU Honor Code.

Employers are encouraged to distribute this information to international student employees at all new student orientations, near yTime clocks and break rooms. Attached below is a downloadable flyer for posting.
