The 7 Minute Scientific Workout is a full body, high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout designed to help people maximize the time they spend working out.
The 7 Minute Scientific Workout can be done essentially anywhere and will help you make significant improvements to your cardiovascular and muscular fitness. That's not even mentioning the fat burning effects associated with HIIT exercise. So what's the catch? Well, we would be lying if we said it was easy. Feeling tired and sore after this workout is normal for a beginner, but by sticking with it, you will become stronger, more fit, and better prepared to meet the regular physical demands of life.
The workout involves twelve exercises that are each performed for 30 consecutive seconds, with a ten second break in between each. The duration of the workout is actually 8 minutes and 30 seconds, because one of the exercises is repeated once on each side. We aren't sure why it is called a "7 minute" scientific workout, but hey, it'll be over before you know it.

Advanced 7-min Scientific Workout
The advanced workout uses only dumbbells and body weight to provide a series of exercises focused on the upper body, lower body, torso strength, and mobility. It is geared to a variety of fitness levels and helps individuals become healthier, stronger, less prone to injury, and more athletically capable. It focuses not only on the large muscles such as the quads and glutes, but also engages the smaller, often overlooked muscles in the back, abdomen, shoulders, and hips that, when neglected, can contribute to back, neck, and knee pain. In addition to helping combat a desk job’s “aches, pain and fatigue, it also teaches clean and efficient movement patterns, that should, over time, instill graceful, athletic coordination".
If you like more variety to your 7 minute workout (that can also include a warm-up and cool-down session) we highly recommend the Johnson & Johnson 7 Minute Workout App
Please Note: As good as they are, the 7 Minute Scientific Workouts are not meant to be your sole exercise program. The hope is that individuals will develop a lifestyle that incorporates a variety of activities to help the body feel strong and healthy.
